This edition is to all intents and purposes identical to those published by Schirmer and Cramer. It has several misprints, the most serious in Hoffmann's part being on page 178 where, at the end of the fourth bar, 'Le fut-il...' should be given to Hoffmann. (The beginning of the next line correctly has an H.)
Because there is some variation in what the acts are called (not least whether the opening scene is the drinking house is 'Prologue' or 'Act 1'), and some productions change the order of acts, I have identified them by descriptive name.
