This set of recordings includes Version 2 of 'Why do the nations'. As is my usual practice, only essential appoggiature are included. I have generally followed Handel's notation accurately, including in places where it is often felt, for instance, that dotted rhythms should be double-dotted. The recording was prepared using the Watkins Shaw/Novello edition.
