The character is referred to in the cast list as 'Prosdocimo' but everywhere subsequently as 'Poeta'.
To an even greater extent than with most of Rossini's other operas, the recitatives need editing by the performer to make them flow and also to work around various rhythms that simply don't work. For the most part, this recording does what the score gives as the solutions are seldom obvious. The score used was the Ricordi Critical Edition of 2000.
