The alto part is almost never split: the exceptions are act 1 scene 6 and act 2 scene 2, plus a few odd notes here and there. However it seemed most practical to make two completely separate recordings, which are included here for the price of just one of them.
This recording conforms to both the Durand and the Schirmer scores. The latter has an obvious misprint: the last note of page 247, bar 4, should be E natural, not F sharp.
